To help us figure out what might be causing the stuffy, blocked nose, I’ve got a few questions.

1. How long has your kiddo been dealing with the stuffy nose?
o Is this new? Has this been going on for a bit? Days? Weeks?
o Does your little one get frequent stuffy noses?
o Has the congestion gotten worse lately?
2. What does the stuff coming out of kiddo’s nose look like?
Is it clear, like runny water?
Or is it more thick, gooey, or even bloody?
Does it seem to drip mostly from one side of the nose?
Or is it coming out of both sides?
Have you seen the nasal discharge turn yellow? Green? Brown? Bloody?
3. Anything else going on with your little one?
o Does their breath smell funky?
o Any weird smells coming from their mouth?
o Have you noticed dark circles or bags under their eyes?
o Is kiddo getting enough sleep?
o Is your child coughing a lot?
o Is child having trouble breathing?
o Does your child seem extra tired lately, like low energy?
o Is child tired, sleepy? not the usual self?
o Have you noticed they’re growing slower than usual, or maybe not gaining weight like they should (especially for babies)?
o Is your child complaining of any ear pain or having trouble with their ears?
o Any strange changes in their fingers or toes?
o have you noticed your child having trouble feeding?
o Is your child not gaining weight?
o Has your little one been feeling more tired than usual?
o Does your kiddo have a fever?
o Does kiddo seem to have a pain in the face (maybe around their sinuses)?
o Do they point to their face and seem bothered by any sinus pain?
o Is your child constantly rubbing their eyes or complaining about itchiness or irritation?
o Have you noticed nosebleeds?
o Found anything weird, like an object stuck in their nostril, causing the congestion?
o Does your child seem to get recurrent colds, chest infections, or illnesses that just don’t go away?
o Have they had a reduced sense of smell or taste? can’t smell their favourite food?
o Is their nose running non-stop? Drip, drip all the time, even when they’re not sick?
o Is your child sneezing more than usual?
o Have you noticed kiddo snoring more at night?
o Has kiddo been complaining of a sore throat
o Has your child have trouble swallowing?
